  • Trained in commissioning a power station coal, wind, solar ,hydro, nuclear  and gas.  Drafting  off take agreements, Power Purchase Agreements and negotiating terms of the same.

  • Attended a course by National Treasury South Africa on PPP and recently completed a  World Bank course on PPP
  • Advising private clients and Regional government structures in Southern Africa  on renewable energy projects.
  • Currently  working on hydro, solar and  wind projects for clients within SADC.

Administrative and Procurement Law


  • Knowledge in preparation of tenders, lodging appeals, dealing with procurement issues and SCM issues

Cross Border and IPP


  • Service many clients in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia involved in mining and related businesses.
  • Service clients in Mauritius and advising on renewable energy projects as well as raising project finance, Registering global companies and taking advantage of double taxation agreement entered into with Mauritius and 34 countries
  • Assisted in setting up arbitration centre in Mauritius which is a division of LCIA and called MCIA.
  • Familiar with SADC protocols, project finance issues, power purchase agreements ,PPP and mining law issues
  • Servicing many international clients especially Indian and Chinese nationals trading in Southern Africa in the mining, renewable energy and power sector.

  • Conveyancer  since 1988. Founding member of Black Conveyancers  Association in South Africa. Handled conveyancing for STANDARD BANK, NEDBANK, NBS ,NRB AND FNB and other financial institutions.
  • Currently on panel for SANRAL /AURECON JV, TRANSNET and other corporate/municipal council,estate agents and individual clients doing property transfers
  • Negotiate with role players and attending to numerous disputes in Land Claims Court.
  • Resettlement and relocation disputes and negotiations
  • Attend to mining rights, prospecting rights  and arranging grants of rights in SADC countries.


International Experience


  • Service clients in SADC /Africa region including Mauritius, India ,UK and Canada. Advised 2 sets of clients who set up 5MW hydro in India and currently advising clients on 15mw solar plant in Mauritius
  • Well versed on all issues relating to the commissioning of a power plant and gained good subject knowledge. Attended international trade fairs in India/Africa partnership exhibitions and did some additional training in the power and energy sector completing courses in PPP as well as in Project Finance.
  • As a trained mediator and arbitrator and given my  international qualifications  I  enjoy ADR and Arbitration which is more cost effective,  speedy  and acceptable. Work in Sub Saharan Africa and Mauritius
